A tiny publisher of no renown, Bad Wolf Press nonetheless insists on creating musicals and plays for children that are beloved by actors, parents, teachers, and innocent bystanders all over the world. With an emphasis on humor, catchy tunes, curriculum connections and ease of production for teachers and directors (NO drama or music experience or talent required!), Bad Wolf plays have been teaching valuable skills and bringing school subjects to life for three decades.
OUR FOUNDING WOLVES
John and Ron wrote their first kids' musical (Jack and the Beanstalk) in 1992 for a first grade teacher in Camarillo, CA. Response was extremely positive and the writers did another show the next year. Kids had a great time, parents got excited, and teachers began to talk. John and Ron started contacting publishers, all of which turned them down. But, not to be thwarted, eventually they forged ahead and created Bad Wolf Press.

THE CURRENT BAD WOLVES
Mike Fishell, a multi-talented musician and retired public school teacher, gracefully took up the composer role. Mike had worked with Ron on previous plays and had produced many of them in his classroom, making him the perfect choice for keeping the music flowing and the tunes catchy!
Bad Wolf continues to believe that education should be fun, challenging, and participatory, and we will keep listening carefully to teachers so that we can produce shows that fulfill a clear need in the classroom.
